Privacy policy

Effective date: 2026-10-17

This policy explains what information CargoCalculators (“we”, “us”) collects when you use this website and how it is used. We aim to collect as little as possible.

Calculator inputs

All calculators run entirely in your web browser using JavaScript. The dimensions, weights, prices and other values you enter are processed on your device and are not sent to us or stored on our servers.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider may record standard technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the date and time. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure and diagnose problems, and is kept only as long as needed for those purposes.

We may use privacy-friendly analytics to understand which tools are popular, using aggregated statistics. If we use analytics that rely on cookies, we will update this policy and ask for consent where the law requires it.

Advertising

To keep the tools free, we may display advertising, for example through Google AdSense. If we do:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
• Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, and learn more at How Google uses information from sites that use its services.
• Where required by law (for example in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland), we will ask for your consent through a consent banner before non-essential cookies are set, and you can change your choice at any time.

Purchases

If we offer paid downloads, payments are handled by a third-party payment or e-commerce provider. We do not see or store your full card details. That provider’s privacy policy applies to the information you give it.

Contacting us

If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply and keep a record of the conversation.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of personal data we hold about you, to object to processing, and to complain to a data protection authority. Because we hold very little personal data, most requests can be handled quickly. Contact us at hello@cargocalculators.com.

Children

This site is intended for professional use and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes

We may update this policy as the site changes, for example when advertising or analytics are introduced. The effective date above shows when it was last revised.
